The band is thrilled to announce that Brad Krygier has joined the Stoney Trail Machine

Coming from a musical family, Brad started music at age 6, and found his musical influences in all genres and styles. Honing his skills and style in both original and cover bands he also found success in tribute projects. His experience on and off the stage is vast and his chops have been cut with help from the devil himself. Delving mostly into the blues and rock end of the spectrum throughout the years, it was time that he joined the mayhem that Stoney Trail provided in the country rock world . An avid collector of fine guitars, Brad enjoys the opportunity to write and play whenever possible and is looking forward to murdering  the stages with his new brothers in arms!!!

WOW where can I start .... 2017 was a year of positive changes and a whole helluva lot of hard work for us..... the year started with line-up changes for the band , after careful consideration and unanimously mutual agreement, the difficult descision was made to part ways with both Jeff and Simon our long time guitarists. Though the reasons behind this we will not divulge on a public forum, know that the end result was agreed to by all parties concerned as a positive move to keep the STONEY TRAIL machine moving forward. With that we put out our feelers for the perfect replacement, it was a daunting task to say the least! Rodney took over all the guitar duties for both abscent members while we hunted new axe slingers, continued to work on material and honed our live show.... we took our sweet time to not only try and find the right player(s), and personality for the band, but also  like minded individuals who shared a common vision and hunger to carry this project into the new year ...again a VERY daunting task. As a wise man once said "good things come to those who wait" and then out of seemingly nowhere, we found the incomparable  BRAD KRYGIER, right in our own backyard. Brad brings with him a well rounded musical background, phenominal ability and style, and an easy going laidback nature to his approach... the fact that he shared Sascha's love for 80's glam metal didn't hurt his bid to join either. The tail end of 2017 found us all working REALLY hard to bring us all up to speed and to plan our next step into the 2018 touring season.... and here we are, poised to grab the new year by the horns and ride it into the sunset!!!  Shows for 2018 are coming in fast and furious, kicking off March 9 and extending well into fall. Completely stoked to roll out this circus for public consumption.....

We want to thank everyone of you for the continued love and support you've given us... see ya on the road !

We want to wish all of our friends , fans and family a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year !!  With 2016 coming to an end , we all have the blessings of a fresh clean slate for 2017 ... LETS MAKE IT A GOOD ONE ! We can't wait to hit some more stages in the new year , play safe ... see you on the other side !

We are thrilled to have been asked to participate in the YYC ROCKS fundraiser to benefit Calgary's Oxford House for recovery as well as the Calgary food bank . I believe we are the first and only country band that has been asked to participate in a TLB Group rock event ... makes us very proud and is a testament to the brand of show we put on ... high energy and kick ass music !!!

We hit the stage at 4:30 pm , come down early and stay late because there's lots of great acts to see and it is for a great cause that benefits our community ... what better way to spend your Sunday OCTOBER 16 than listening to a day full of music and giving those in need a hand up !

Aug 12, 2016

We want to take this opportunity to thank all our family, friends and fans for your ongoing support. For those who aren't familiar with the behind the scenes on-goings of putting a band together from the obvious things like not only finding members who have a similar vision,  but  ones you can get along with , a constructed extension of each members  'family',  taking a group of relative strangers who each have different personalities , writing/working styles, responsibilities and obligations , likes and dislikes, and melding all those variables into a cohesive 'musical entity' that can write , record  and fundamentally just 'exist' with one another ... It can be a daunting task at the best of times .Then  add in the 'business' side of the 'vision' ....ground up creation of all the additional aspects of product selection and design, websites , mailing list start-ups, crafting an entire show that not only makes each band member proud of how he's being represented and satisfying each members creative voice , but also creating something at engages and entices fans to proudly wear swag, buy recordings and return over and over to our shows... Long nights in the studio , or on a telephone, or lit by the glow of a computer screen or device , away from home and loved ones, scheduling 'life' around the band etc etc etc . TO OUR FAMILIES ...It takes strong individuals to embark on such a journey, it takes even stronger individuals who sit on the sidelines and sacrifice SO much to allow us to spread our wings and follow our dreams .... We could not do any of it without your undying love and support , and words cannot articulate how grateful we are for all you do and all you put up with on our behalf ... We love you !
